Why Eklektus?
The beautiful Eclectus parrot Eclectus roratus is native to north-eastern Australia, Papua New Guinea and nearby islands. The bird is a little quirky - when the plumage of male and female birds differs in nature it is usually the male that is the bright one. Eclectus parrots are different - males are bright green with orange beaks and females red and blue with black beaks. Early European ornithologists actually thought they were different species.

Being a little outside the square ourselves, we find the parrot an appealing symbol. They're also friendly (like us), though we don't spill our food as much.
Our company is also described pretty accurately by the word "eclectic".
e·clec·tic (í-klêk'tík) adj.
Selecting or employing individual elements from a variety of sources, systems, or styles.
This is our point of difference, and one of our main strengths.
We changed the spelling to make the word our own. We didn't want you to think we sold parrots.
