Environmental science and policy advice

Dr Chris Pugsley - the principal of Chris Pugsley Consulting has had a career focusing on sustainability and climate policy.  His diverse background includes contracting to the Parliamentary Commissioner for the Environment responding to enquiries for assistance and environmental concerns from members of the public and to the Department of Conservation keeping the programmes on track during staffing gaps and  reviewing achievements. He has provided policy advice to the NZ Transport Agency around delivering sustainable land transport in NZ. 

He has also worked with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry’s climate change policy team analysing  the agricultural sector’s response to the Government’s climate ‘Plan of Action’.  In 2006 he managed the procurement process for over $6 million of new funding of climate change research on greenhouse gas inventories and research in agriculture and forestry for MAF Policy.
