Alliance Française Centenary Exhibition

In 2008, Eklektus Inc. worked with the Alliance Française de Wellington to create a bilingual, internationally travelling exhibition celebrating the 100 year anniversary of the organisation. The exhibition detailed the history of the many people involved over the years and included an interactive listening station, soundscape, costumes an objects from a century of the organisation's past, as well as original artworks by French émigrés. The exhibition was popular with visitors and achieved the goals of the Alliance Française, in New Zealand, as well as in a planned trip to Paris.

On behalf of the Executive Committee, the Director and the Exhibition Sub-Committee of the Alliance Française of Wellington, I would like to thank you, as Exhibition Developer, and your team at Eklektus Inc. You helped us to realise our ambition of celebrating our first one hundred years by bringing to life some of the events of the Alliance's past and present, and showing how they have been part of the growth of the Wellington community. The exhibition provided the opportunity to publicly recognise and salute the work of some of the 'pioneers' of our organisation and to emphasise that this work is a continuum, up to the present day, and into the future. The exhibition will travel to other Alliance Françaises in New Zealand and materials produced will have a long life after the centenary year. Some of the posters will be used in Alliance classrooms, some at Alliance cultural events and other on important occasions. Thank you again for your part in our centenary year. We have enjoyed working with you and your team.
